Fashion & Fabric Department

“Stitching Dreams into Reality.”

The Fashion & Fabric Department at Iten Training and Vocational Centre provides learners with the creative, technical, and practical skills needed to excel in the dynamic textile and clothing industry. This department focuses on transforming raw talents into skilled professionals capable of designing, producing, and constructing garments for the modern fashion market.

The textile industry involves the development, production, and processing of fabrics, beginning with natural materials like cotton, wool, or synthetic fibres, which are converted into yarns and later into fabrics. Our department equips learners with the ability to transform these fabrics into beautifully crafted garments and textile products.

We prepare trainees to understand fashion design principles, operate industrial sewing machines, draft patterns, cut out garments, and produce finished outfits suitable for individual clients, retail shops, and mass production. Students are trained through hands-on sessions, practical workshops, and real-world garment construction assignments.

Our mission is to empower learners with the skills, creativity, and confidence needed to thrive in tailoring shops, fashion houses, manufacturing industries, and self-employment.
